Description

Single central shade matching is considered one of the most challenging
tasks in our daily work, it can cause frustration to both the dental
technician and the dentist.

For many years the results we had when making a single central were
unpredictable as they were depending on the judgment of the human
eye, which cannot perceive and translate the exact shade of the target
tooth.

We had to do many trials and repetitive corrections because we didn’t
have the scientific knowledge and we were missing answers to some
valid questions:
• Why crowns end up in lower value than the target tooth
• Which dentin powders we should use to have an identical shade match
• Which skin enamel to choose
• How to successfully recreate the incisal canvas and mamelon structure
• Which substructure to use and in which thickness to choose it,
especially when masking the background is essential
• What we should do when we have only 0.5 mm space for our ceramic
• How to have a single central shade match when working on refractory
material.

These are all blindspots that we have in the difficult task of making a
single central.

In this course, all the blindspots and the dilemmas that you have will be
answered and you will gain confidence when making a single central
crown or any other case where color matching is important. To make this
possible you should make use of Optishade Styleitaliano. This will help
you to accurately measure the tooth color. Then, the reasonable
question is how would you translate the measured tooth color into the
lab process? For this reason, We have created a Shade Matching
Software for dental technicians, MATISSE, the acronym for ”Matching
Any Tooth In Shade So Easily” ( www.matisse.ai).
With MATISSE and OPTISHADE achieving a color match is easy, fast
and predictable.
